Night Wandering Walked across a rainbow chalked up the sidewalk shadowed by a street lamp stuck against a starless sky. Stoned softly, breathing beer, mellow-bellied, warm & full, pumping heavy legs and sucking in the night. Here paperwork can't fetter me, the telephone's a lie, no stupid smiling nuns, no sweet kid's pain. I do this as well as anything there is to do. This is what seems best to do most times.
